What this page helps you do

Describe a proposed job and its price in a PDF the customer can review before work begins. Separate quantities, unit prices and tax settings help both parties see what the quoted total includes.

How to use the result

Enter the scope as clear line items, select the currency, and add relevant assumptions or validity terms in the notes. Review the PDF before using it as the basis for an agreement.

Before you rely on it

  • Confirm that exclusions, materials, delivery and other agreed conditions are clear.
  • Compare quantities, tax treatment and the total with the estimate you intend to offer.

Limit to keep in mind: Creating a quote does not record customer acceptance or payment. Its legal effect depends on the wording and circumstances; retain acceptance separately and update the document if the scope changes.

Make the offer specific enough to review

A useful quote explains what the customer will receive and what the proposed price includes. The form provides the line items, quantities, tax settings and terms; the scope and commercial conditions must come from your agreement.

The page opens in quote mode, using quote labels and numbering. The invoice due-date field is hidden, so put the offer's validity and any deposit conditions in the terms.

Check the price and the work together

For a website proposal, a quote can separate design, build, content migration and support. Make clear whether hosting and later changes are included so the customer can relate the total to the scope.

Lines can use different entered tax rates. Confirm those rates and whether the agreed prices include tax; the generator calculates from your entries and does not decide their tax treatment.

Keep a record when the quote changes

Switching a draft to invoice carries over its lines and prices. Review the invoice number, dates, payment terms and accepted scope before issuing it. Keep the quote, acceptance and any agreed changes with your records; the document does not decide when a contract forms.

Draft fields are kept locally for this browser tab's session and can return on a same-tab revisit. Browser session restoration can also recover them. Use Start over on a restored draft, and clear the site's browser storage after using a shared device. Keep downloaded records separately; numbering does not synchronize between devices.

Frequently asked questions

Does making a quote record the customer's acceptance?
No. The PDF describes the proposal you enter. Keep acceptance and later scope changes separately, and use terms appropriate to the transaction.
Where should I put the expiry date?
State the validity date or period in the terms. Quote mode hides the invoice due date because an offer's validity is different from a payment deadline.
Can the price include tax already?
Yes. Choose the tax mode that matches the offered prices and enter the applicable rates per line. Check the resulting tax breakdown and total before sending the quote.
Can I turn the draft into an invoice?
You can switch the document type while the draft is available. Review all invoice-specific fields, numbering, dates and terms; carrying over prices is not proof that the invoice is ready to issue.
Can I use my own logo and currency?
The form accepts a PNG or JPEG logo, an accent colour and the selection of 54 currencies. Currency selection controls display and calculation precision; it does not convert amounts at an exchange rate.
Where are draft details stored?
The fields and PDF are not uploaded for generation. Draft fields use this tab's browser session storage, while numbering can persist separately. Clear the site's browser storage when finished on a shared device, and keep your own downloaded documents.
